Difference RGB/Neopixel

Is there a difference between RGB lightsabers and NEOPixel lightsabers?

RGB baselit:

RGB Baselit lightsabers offer the possibility to choose from different colors and are equipped with an extra bright 12 watt lamp. This can be done with 10 preset colors or by slowly changing colors. In this way, every imaginable color is available. In addition, the lightsaber has no less than 10 different types of sounds with different volumes and a silent mode. RGB Baselit is very popular with fans because this variant is excellent for combat and if the blade is damaged it can be replaced quickly and cheaply.

NEOPixel

If you want to get that little extra out of your lightsaber, the Neopixel version is a good choice. The neopixel lightsaber is illuminated differently than the RGB baselit versions. Neopixel lightsabers have a 40 watt LED strip incorporated into the sword blade. Thanks to this LED strip, the entire blade is evenly illuminated and not just from the underside of the blade, as is the case with an RGB Baselit model. The light intensity of the neopixels is a lot brighter. In addition, the colors come into their own better. Since the LED strip is processed through the entire sword blade, this offers the possibility of more realistic functions.

One of these functions is quickly apparent when the sword blade lights up. The sword blade lights up from the bottom up, making it look like the lightsaber is really sliding out. Because the LED strip is processed through the entire blade, the blade is heavier compared to the RGB lightsabers. In addition, due to the sensitivity of the LED strip, the blade can break if hit too hard or during a duel. Therefore, we do not recommend full-strength slashing or dueling with the Neopixel Lightsabers.
